Peter Clerinx

Peter is Belgian, born in 1978 in Hasselt. He is a Dutch native speaker, is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of French and German.

He obtained his master’s degree in physics in 2001 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium, with a thesis about holographic optical elements in silverhalogenides.

Peter worked as a scientific collaborator and medical physicist for the VUB and the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (VUB University Hospital), where he contributed to studies involving medical imaging, applied statistics for clinical studies and dosimetry. More specifically, he gained experience in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), image quality and radiation dose control, patient and staff dosimetry, Monte-Carlo radiation transport simulations in detailed geometry and development of volumetric image registration and segmentation algorithms. Subsequently, he worked for the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven, Belgium) in the field of bioinformatics. His work involved the development of data mining algorithms for application in microarray studies in oncology.

Peter joined DenK iP bvba in January 2011 and qualified for the EQE in 2015.
