Christophe is Belgian, born in 1976. He is a French native speaker, is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of German and Dutch.
Christophe holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Brussels, Belgium.
He performed his Ph.D. in the field of polymer chemistry for organic electronics at the Max-Planck Institute for polymer research in Mainz.
After his studies he worked as a researcher in the field of glass surface chemical modification in Glaverbel (now AGC) for 3 years. In 2005 he started in intellectual property. He has always worked in private practice.
He gained a lot of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, especially, but not exclusively, in the fields of chemistry, material science and mechanics. His expertise is strongest in the fields of organic and inorganic chemistry, polymer synthesis and processing, semi-conducting materials and devices, glass chemistry and surface chemistry. He also is experienced in performing novelty searches and in providing opinions on patentability, freedom-to-operate, invalidity and infringement.
Christophe is a European Patent Attorney who started working for DenK iP in October 2012.
