DenK iP bvba is an independent patent office, headed by Kris Hertoghe and Davy Wauters. We provide services in different fields of intellectual property, mainly patents.

As can be recognised from our logo, we think about IP. We use our head for helping you protect your intellectual property. We provide day-to-day assistance to and administration of your IP portfolio, during which we put the dots on the i.

EPO - July 26, 2010 - Hunt for Europe's best inventors

The public proposal phase for the European Inventor Award 2011 is opened. Anyone can put forward inventions and inventors; you can put forward yourself or propose another inventor for the award.

EPO - July 15, 2010 - Accession of Serbia to EPO

Serbia accedes to the European Patent Convention as from 1 October 2010. The European Patent Organisation will then comprise 38 member states.

US - June, 2010 - BILSKI et al. v. KAPPOS decided

Abstract ideas are not patentable. Some so-called “business methods” could be patented like any other method invention, depending upon the manner in which the method is claimed, and assuming all other factors for patentability exist (novelty, non-obvious, etc.).

We have been informed that there will be a temporary power cut at the Gent office on September 7, between 7h30 and 14h00. This means that none of us can be contacted at the normal telephone numbers. You can reach the Mechelen office at 015/33.94.06 instead.
